2018 Cre8tors Blog Hop: Celebrate Amazing You

2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to the 2018 Kre8tors Blog Hop!  This is my first time to participate in a blog hop. I’m so excited to be a part of this fun, creative journey along with some very talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators!!

February’s theme is Sale-a-bration.  Each participating demonstrator will be featuring products from the brochure so be sure to visit each of the links at the end of this blog post to see everyone’s projects!

My Featured Products:  Amazing You Stamp Set and Coordinating Celebrate You Thinlit Dies

I absolutely love stamp sets and dies that coordinate with each other. I think the Amazing You stamp set is absolutely beautiful! Check out my samples below.

#1 Simple and Clean Amazing You Card

My first sample is very simple, but pretty. Sometimes, less is more. I stamped the words and flowers in Archival Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and layered it on a piece of Smokey Slate cardstock. The card base is thick Whisper White. The word “you” I stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White and then cut it out.

Amazing You 4

#2 Petal Passion Amazing You Card

For this card, I again used thick Whisper White for the base. On a scrap of Whisper White, I stamped the word “amazing” and hand cut it into a banner. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival ink and used the two shades of Daffodil Delight Blends markers to fill them in. Be careful because the black could bleed so try to only color in the middle. The other option is the stamp the flowers in black Momento or StazOn ink. Once I colored the flowers, I cut along the edge of one side and adhered it to the striped pattern from the Petal Passion DSP. I stamped the word “You” in Craft White ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

Amazing You 2

#3 Silver Sparkle Amazing You Card

I had a lot of fun with this next card. I used Smokey Slate for my card base. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival Ink. Then, I used a silver Sharpie to color the card stock around the flowers. I love doing this and the effect it produces! I don’t know if there is a name for this technique, but there probably is. If anyone can tell me, I would love to know. I layered this on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then attached it at an angle to a piece of the Petal Passion DSP which I also used the silver marker to color in all the flowers. The dragonfly is from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies from the Annual Catalog and was cut out on a piece of silver glimmer paper.

Amazing You 3

#4 Silver Sparkle Brick Wall Amazing You Card

This card was also a lot of fun. I used the new silver embossing paste from the Occasions catalog to make the brick wall. I put embossing paste directly on a Basic Gray card base using a template and palette knife from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival ink, sponged on some Pool Party, and cut them out. I dried the embossing paste using my heat tool. I noticed this takes a little bit to dry, so if you are impatient like me, the heat tool works well. Once it was dry, I stamped two flowers in Basic Black Archival ink on top of the embossed brick wall. I added my cut out flowers to the card using dimensionals. I cut out the words “celebrate” and “you” using the coordinating Celebrate You Thinlits dies.  These were also cut out on silver glimmer paper. As a final touch, I added the smallest of the clear faceted gems to the center of each flower.

Amazing You 6

#5 Thank You Narrow Note Card

My final sample used the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards from the Occasions catalog. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival ink and sponged them in Sweet Sugarplum. The “thank you” is from the All Things Thanks Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog. I used the fine tip of a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add some dots to the card for interest. Finally, I stamped the envelope to match.

Amazing You 5

I hope you enjoyed my samples. There are so many other ways to use this stamp set and the coordinating dies. To get these free, shop my online store by clicking the link on the right navigation bar.

New! Becky’s Home Stamping Network (BHSN)

Hello!

I am pleased to share an exciting new series just for you. It is called Becky’s Home Stamping Network or BHSN for short.  A quick shout out to my husband for coming up with the name of this series, which I think is pretty clever. Thank you Eddie!

What Is BHSN?

Introducing, Becky’s Home Stamping Network (BHSN). This is a new way to stamp and network with others! I have designed exclusive all-in-one stamping kits that have everything you need to make 6-8 projects, including step-by-step instructions.  In addition, you will have access to a special Facebook group only for BHSN members and online classes to learn how to put together your kit. The FB group offers the opportunity to network with each other regarding ideas, tools, projects, techniques and anything else related to paper crafting. It will also be a place to post your unique creations using your kit. If you are NOT a Facebook member, or simply don’t like Facebook, you can still participate via email and special BHSN phone conferences. With BHSN, there is creative opportunity for everyone!

Benefits of BHSN – Learn, Create, Share!

For people who have little or no experience with stamping, this is a great way to get started because you will get step-by-step tutorials and instruction. It is also a great way to build your collection of stamps, paper, inks, etc. I put together an entire kit, which takes all the guesswork out of figuring out what to purchase. Even if you are an experienced stamper, you will love the convenience of the kit and can add your own flair to the projects. All in all, this is a great way to learn, create, share!

How Does BHSN Work?

I will announce one to two BHSN kits for the following month. Sign up and pay for your kit (or kits) by the deadline listed. The deadline is very important so that you get your kit in time for the online class.

When you sign up for the first time, I will add you to the BHSN Facebook group, unless you indicate otherwise when you register .

On the day of the online class, have your kit ready. Sit in a comfy chair, at a table with good lighting. At the designated time, sign in to the online class (more info will be provided). Then, just enjoy a fun, interactive crafting experience from the comfort of your home…or wherever…sometimes I won’t even be at home!

Are you ready? Let’s Go!!
